A new biopic, titled All Out of Love: The Air Supply Story, is in the works, centering on Australian soft rockers Air Supply, according to Variety.

All Out of Love: The Air Supply Story will focus on the origins and ascent of Air Supply. The duo, consisting of vocalists and songwriters Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, first crossed paths during a production of Jesus Christ Superstar before joining forces to create and perform soft-rock melodies in Australia.

Their breakthrough came in the late ’70s and early ’80s, when they achieved worldwide acclaim. The title of the film, “All Out of Love,” pays homage to their unforgettable 1980 hit single.

“The film explores the highs and lows of the band’s career and their rise to international fame,” reads the official logline for All Out of Love. “The story follows the two founding members of Air Supply, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, as they navigate the challenges of pursuing their musical dreams in a competitive industry. From their humble beginnings in Australia to their breakthrough in the United States, the film delves into the personal and professional struggles they faced along the way.”

The film is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025 to commemorate Air Supply’s 50th anniversary. Filming is slated to occur in Australia and the U.K. during the fourth quarter of 2024.

Altit Media Group’s Dean Altit will produce the film, with Barry Siegel, Jesse Weiner and Julia Xu serving as executive producers.
